Welder-fitter

The company and the role

A manufacturer specialising in agricultural and industrial equipment is looking for two welder-fitters to join its team. The work is done in the shop, from drawings, with genuine versatility between welding and fitting.

What you will do

• Weld and assemble various parts in the shop
• Read and interpret paper drawings
• Precisely respect the dimensions, tolerances and specifications shown on the drawings
• Work versatilely across welding and fitting tasks
• Check the dimensions and alignment of parts before and after welding
• Carry out quality control on your own work
• Keep your work area clean and safe

What is required

• Experience as a welder, welder-fitter or fitter-welder
• Good ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings
• Ability to take measurements and respect tolerances precisely
• Good manual dexterity, autonomy and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Valid authorisation to work in Canada

What counts as an asset

Experience in any of these areas will be considered an asset, without being required:

• Pressure piping and industrial piping
• Welding or assembly of high-pressure systems
• Manufacturing of industrial or agricultural equipment
• Assembly of metal structures or components from drawings

The conditions

• Two positions open, quick start
• Wage of $30 to $35 an hour, adjusted to actual experience
• Day shift, permanent full-time position
• Varied shop work, no repetition on a single operation
