FRENCH TRAINING

A worker who understands the instructions is a worker who stays.

Private French classes, one-to-one or in groups, delivered by Services Tutorat. Review, workplace-focused French, and preparation for people planning to sit a French test. It is a mandate separate from recruitment.

WHY IT ACTUALLY MATTERS

Three reasons, none of them symbolic

01

Workplace safety

In welding, at the press brake, in machining or industrial painting, understanding an instruction, a hazardous product sheet or a lockout procedure is not a comfort. It is a safety condition, and an obligation that falls on you as the employer.

02

Measurable productivity

Fewer production errors, less supervision time, autonomy reached faster, better integration into the team. Those are the gains employers notice first, before any immigration consideration.

03

Access to permanent status

French weighs heavily in Quebec selection grids, especially spoken French, and some processes carry a language requirement. A worker who does not progress is a worker who will eventually leave.

THE FORMATS

Four ways to organise the classes

The format depends on your goal and the number of people. Everything is discussed before starting.

FormatWho it is forWhat it aims at
One-to-one classesA worker in post with a specific goalTargeted progress at their own pace, including for someone planning to sit a French test
Group classesA cohort of workers from the same companyA more economical option that also builds team cohesion
Trade-focused FrenchWorkers from the same tradeTechnical vocabulary, safety instructions and the production documents actually used at your site
In-company trainingAn employer with several foreign workersOn site, adapted to your internal procedures and your shift schedule
LET US BE CLEAR

What these classes are, and what they are not

What they are

  • Private French classes, delivered by a private company of the group, Services Tutorat
  • Review and practice, adapted to the person’s actual level
  • French that is useful at work: instructions, safety, team communication
  • Preparation for people planning to sit a French test
  • A separate mandate, with its own terms and its own fees

What they are not

  • A government program. We are neither an agent nor an official partner of any public francisation program
  • A guarantee of reaching a level. Our training aims at progress; official evaluation rests with the competent body
  • A condition of your recruitment mandate. It is a separate service, which you take or leave
  • An obligation for every foreign worker. Requirements vary by program and by situation
  • Included in our recruitment fees
TWO WAYS IN

Depending on whether you are the employer or the worker

You are the employer

Do not think of it as French classes. Think of it as risk reduction: fewer errors, fewer incidents, less turnover, less supervision.

The arithmetic is simple: training someone costs less than replacing them, especially when it took you six months to find them.

You are the worker

Your permit has an end date. Your life plan does not have to, and French is often what makes the difference between the two.

It is also what lets you take on more responsibility, be understood first time, and stop depending on a colleague to translate.
