Young Professionals: a permit tied to your company, without an LMIA.
When you want to secure the worker for the length of the contract rather than give them an open permit. The position must, however, reach a certain qualification level.

What must be true
The checklist
- Citizenship of a partner country offering this category — not all do
- 18 to 35 inclusive, depending on the applicable agreement
- Valid passport, sufficient funds, insurance including repatriation
- No accompanying dependants
The most frequent trap
The job offer must be signed BEFORE the candidate enters the pool. Many employers discover this too late and must wait for the next round. Also, once a candidate is invited from one pool, they are removed from the others: a candidate invited under Working Holiday can no longer be selected under Young Professionals.
Where we come in
We first verify that your position reaches the required level and that the candidate’s country offers this category. Those two conditions rule out a good share of projects before they start, and it is better to know immediately.
