The company and the role

A manufacturer specialising in agricultural and industrial equipment is looking for two experienced industrial painters to join its team in Saint-Agapit. Both positions offer the same working conditions: one is permanent full-time, the other is a temporary assignment of about one month. The work is done in the shop on various metal parts, components and equipment.

You must be autonomous across the whole industrial painting process and have a strong command of HVLP spray application.

What you will do

  • Prepare, clean and degrease metal parts and surfaces before application
  • Mask and protect areas that must not be painted
  • Prepare and mix paints and products to the required specifications
  • Set up and operate HVLP painting equipment effectively
  • Spray paint onto various industrial parts and equipment
  • Adjust pressure, flow and gun settings to suit the parts and products
  • Apply coats evenly to achieve the required finish
  • Check coverage, thickness, uniformity and overall finish quality
  • Identify and correct defects, carry out touch-ups and finishing work
  • Clean and maintain guns, equipment and accessories
  • Keep the work area clean and follow health and safety procedures

What is required

  • Minimum five years of experience in industrial painting
  • Hands-on experience painting metal parts or equipment
  • Command of the HVLP spray gun is required
  • Good knowledge of surface preparation before painting
  • Ability to prepare and adjust products as needed
  • Ability to achieve a uniform, quality finish
  • Autonomy in setting up and operating the equipment
  • Good manual dexterity, precision and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Valid authorisation to work in Canada

Command of the HVLP system is essential for this role. The employer is looking for people who can set up their own equipment, apply paint cleanly and evenly, and check the quality of the final result themselves.
